Can I replace MVHR filters myself and how do I change the MVHR filter?
Changing your MVHR filter is easy, you just need to follow instruction with the right information on what to do.
The filters you will be removing will be dirty with dust, particles, bugs and other nasty things. So the first thing to do is have a bag of the right size to dispose of the old filter/filters into.
Then follow these simple steps:
- Unplug or switch off with the isolator switch your Heat Recovery Unit.
- Some models require a panel to be gently removed to access the filter.
- Gently grasp the tab on the filter and slowly pull the filter out.
- Place straight into the bag you have prepared ready.
- Insert the new filters into the correct slots (supply and extract)
- Replace any covers you removed in step 2 if applicable.
- Switch the power back on and you are done !
- Some units require to press the maintenance reset button to clear the service light.
