Every 3 months have a look at the filter/filters and see what condition they are in. After a long winter with doors and windows closed they clog up with dust and airborne particles such as small bugs, bacteria and dead skin.
It is advisable to replace filters at least once every 6 months to ensure your system works to its optimum level. Failure to change restricts airflow putting more demand on the fan motors and system.
Its much cheaper to change a filter than get an engineer in to repair a worn out motor.
